Summary of the contracting process

The Victoria and Albert Museum is currently in the tender stage of a procurement process for a framework agreement titled "Framework Agreement for the Provision of Collection Storage Systems and Related Services." This initiative falls under the construction works industry category, specifically focused on warehouse stores construction. The procurement is active, with the tender period set to close on 27 February 2019. The framework is expected to deliver storage solutions and related services across various V&A sites, necessitating an estimated investment of £4 million to £6 million. The contract period will begin on 16 March 2019 and extend to 15 March 2023, with services expected primarily in London.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses in the construction, logistics, and storage solutions sectors, particularly small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs). Companies specialising in warehouse construction, storage facility fit-outs, and related support services would be well-positioned to compete for inclusion in this framework. The anticipated appointment of 2-5 contractors per lot indicates that multiple businesses can benefit from this procurement, thereby enhancing their growth potential within the arts and culture sector.
