Summary of the contracting process

LondonEnergy Ltd is seeking an occupational health provider for its workforce of more than 350 people. The service must support employee wellbeing, fitness for work, attendance management, legal and statutory obligations, and practical case management. It will cover employees working in offices, operational settings and engineering environments, including safety-critical and physically demanding roles. Required provision includes remote and face-to-face occupational health appointments, urgent assessments, advice to managers, employees and Human Resources, and case conferences with an occupational health doctor for complex cases. Face-to-face appointments should be available through a local clinic or hub near Eco Park, Tottenham Hale or Liverpool Street in London. Additional services include ergonomic assessments, manager training and health and wellbeing initiatives.

The process has reached tender: LondonEnergy Ltd invited offers through an open procedure. The deadline for submissions was 31 July 2026 at 17:30. The contract is scheduled to run from 31 August 2026 to 30 August 2028. The requirement is suitable for small and medium-sized enterprises. Providers must offer a secure online portal for electronic referrals, reports and historical employee records, with direct communication with physicians and potential future API integration with HR systems. Management information is expected on referral volumes, reasons, departmental trends, absence hotspots, safety-critical roles, drivers and shift work. The service should include regular client relationship meetings and quarterly reporting suitable for Board reporting.

This opportunity suits occupational health organisations with an established clinical service, qualified and experienced practitioners, and the capacity to support a diverse workforce across office, operational and engineering environments. Suppliers should be able to provide evidence-based advice quickly, handle urgent appointments rather than relying on cancellations, and arrange face-to-face assessments through a local London clinic or hub as well as remote consultations. Strong case management and access to occupational health doctors for complex cases are important. The preferred provider will need secure digital systems, electronic reporting, reliable employee records, useful management information and the ability to communicate with physicians. Experience of safety-critical work, physically demanding roles, attendance management, ergonomic assessment and manager training would be relevant.
