Summary of the contracting process

The Mayor's Office of Police and Crime in London commissioned the "Children and Young People Impacted by Domestic Abuse Programme" through an open procurement process. This programme, aimed at supporting young people who have experienced domestic abuse, was initially contracted for two years beginning in March 2022 and has now been extended to March 2026. The contract, valued at £329,415, covers services to be delivered across London in both North and East, as well as South and West regions, collaborating with local entities such as the Metropolitan Police and educational settings. The main focus is on providing therapeutic interventions, classified under education and health services, supporting participants aged 11 to 24.

This tender presents significant opportunities for growth for organisations specialising in health and social work services, particularly those equipped to provide therapeutic and counselling services. The extended contract period allows businesses to establish a long-term presence and strengthen collaboration with various stakeholders in areas like counselling and youth support programs. Organisations that can align their services with early intervention and violence reduction strategies, particularly those classified as voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSE), are well-placed to benefit from entering or expanding their operations in the London area through this initiative.
