Notice Title

Event Management

Notice Description

The contract is for delivery of effective conference and event management services on behalf of Children and Families traded services, this includes organising trade stands of appropriate school resources. The majority of conference delegates will be education professionals, from early years, primary or secondary settings. Conferences tend to focus on a specific priority area and attendees at an event will learn from experts in their field to develop participants practice and hence improve pupil outcomes. The event management service should be as cost-effective as possible, with particular regard to which features are essential to ensure quality is not compromised. The council's financial resources are limited and must be spent wisely in accordance with the council's values and priorities. Value for money is not just about the cheapest price. It is about not spending more than is necessary and getting the best outcomes for the amount spent. Our education events are delivered on a not-for-profit basis and LCC aim to keep delegate prices as low as possible to encourage the attendance of school and setting colleagues. The event management service should be able to offset the costs to LCC by organising an appropriate exhibition at in-person events. An exhibition may not be required for virtual events.
