<b>Contract Title:</b> <b>Flourishing Minds </b> <b>Reference</b><b>:</b><b></b> <b>ESCW (PH) 4946</b> <b>Description:</b> <b></b> The London Borough of Tower Hamlets (LBTH) is inviting expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced organisations for the provision of the 4 projects to promote mental wellbeing, increase mental health literacy and reduce stigma related to mental illness. Each project will target one of these groups in the community 1) Young people (16-24years) 2) Men in high risk groups 3) Black & Minority Ethnic groups and 4) Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender groups. For each project, the Provider will: <b></b> * Enable participants to improve their mental well-being, increase their mental health literacy and improve their knowledge and attitudes towards mental illness. This will be achieved using education and lived experiences of mental illness (social contact) approaches. * Develop content and materials for the delivery of workshops (educational components) linked to the three aims: improve mental wellbeing, increase mental health literacy and reduce stigma * Train those with lived experiences of mental illness to co-deliver project * Develop case studies of 1) those with lived experience of mental illness to share their stories of recovery and 2) participants to illustrate their involvement and journey too * Develop creative artefacts to convey messages on mental health & wellbeing * Recruit and engage with participants from the 4 groups ensuring access to groups which are likely to have poorer health outcomes * Have clear plans on how it will share information on local healthy lifestyle services and local mental health services with participants We are interested in receiving expressions of interest from a Provider with: * Experience of delivering similar community projects in innovative ways * Experience of working with those with mental illness for different purposes * Experience of identifying and reaching people who are at higher risk of poor health outcomes and who find it harder to access information and services * Experience of successfully delivering health promotion to local people in partnership with Local Authority, local NHS and voluntary sector organisations * Understanding of issues and experience of effective working and engaging with the 4 target groups in fun and creative ways * Knowledge of the local area, groups and community organisations and commitment to collaborative working * A track record of outreach and recruitment of local people into projects <b></b> <b>Contract start date: </b>October 2015 <b>The total ..(view full details to see more) Additional information: See tender pack Please see tender pack
