The Surrey County Council has completed a procurement process for the award of the contract titled "SCC SW Hyper-converged Infrastructure Technology Stack." This project falls under the industry category of miscellaneous software packages and computer systems, and it is set in the South East region of the United Kingdom, specifically with its primary operations in Redhill and Guildford. The procurement method used was classified as "Other," culminating in the award date of December 5, 2019. The contract period extends from December 5, 2019, to December 4, 2024, following a tender period that ended on October 25, 2019.

This procurement presents a valuable opportunity for businesses looking to expand their offerings within the IT services sector, particularly firms that specialise in hyper-converged infrastructure solutions. Notice Title

SCC SW Hyper-converged Intrastructure Technology Stack - AWARD

Notice Description

Surrey County Council owns two data centres, the primary one in Redhill and our disaster recovery site in Guildford. Within these facilities are a number of servers, networking and storage devices. A large proportion of the virtualised infrastructure is 'aging' and requires refresh to maintain compliance and supportability. As a result of our continuous drive to improve our Infrastructure estate Surrey County Council has decided to adopt a Hyper-converged Infrastructure technology stack and therefore is looking to replace the traditional Storage, Compute and networking layers. This will allow for Surrey County Council to adopt a more cohesive technology stack which is simple to manage and maintain to allow staff the ability to provide better services as opposed to keeping the lights on. The specific system the council requires is Nutanix. Quotations are being requested via Health Trust Europe - HTE ICT Solutions 2015 Framework.
