Notice Description

'Block Booking' of up to Six Beds at a Registered Nursing or Residential Home(s) for the period up to 31st March 2018 Bury Council is seeking to address the concern that there are a significant number of people in acute beds, whose medical episode is complete but who are awaiting further assessment. The hospital is not the most appropriate environment for most assessments to happen. The Council proposes to 'block book' up to 6 beds at one or more, dual registered, Nursing and Residential Home(s). These beds would be used for a Discharge to Assess model. To bid for this opportunity the Home(s) * Must have at least a 'Good' rating with CQC. * Preferably be within a 2 mile radius of either of the borough's main Hospitals i.e. Fairfield Hospital and North Manchester General Hospital * Have 3 beds for Residential support and 3 beds for Nursing care.
