Notice Description

Specialist Explosive Ordnance Disposal & Search, Exploitation & Countermeasures (SEEC) Delivery Team (DT) are considering initiating the Air Dropped Weapons (ADW) Disposal programme. The programme consists of a total of 5 projects. The requirement is for the procurement and in-service support of COTS equipment for Projects 1 and 2 as set out below. Each contract is expected to have a duration of five years with options to extend by an additional two years. Projects 3-5 will be advertised in a subsequent PIN. Project 1: Remote Cased Entry o A mobile abrasive water jet cutting tool capable of piercing and cutting through a WWII munitions to enable removal of Net Explosive Quantity (NEQ) without causing the target to High Order. (Approx qty 5) (Approx PS8.8m) Project 2: Bespoke Low Order o A User Filled Container Charge system capable of penetrating WWII munition casings to allow for either mechanical breakup of the target or deflagration without causing the target to High Order.
