Summary of the contracting process

Coventry City Council has recently completed an award for the "Coventry Music - Music Tutor DPS Award Notice" under a pseudo Dynamic Purchasing System in the Light Touch Regime. This procurement process is aimed at recruiting and retaining high-quality music tutors for Coventry's schools, community, and professional partner venues. The procurement stage is currently at the award phase, and the contract covers services from 01 July 2024 to 30 September 2024. The total value of this contract is £2,000,000. The services fall under the Education and Training category (CPV code: 80000000) and are scheduled to be delivered in the West Midlands region, United Kingdom. This dynamic purchasing system is valid for five years from commencement, with the possible extension up to another five years until no later than 31 August 2030.

This award presents substantial opportunities for business growth, particularly for SMEs and VCSEs that specialise in music education and training services. The selective procurement method, through a call-off from a dynamic purchasing system, ensures that a diverse range of skilled tutors can participate, leveraging their unique capabilities to fulfil the needs of Coventry’s educational institutions and communities. Businesses capable of providing top-tier educational services and eager to expand their client base in the West Midlands region will find this tender particularly advantageous. Engaging in this contract can enhance the reputation and reach of music tutors, fostering long-term relationships and repeat business with Coventry City Council and associated educational entities.
