Scarborough Borough Council is seeking professional services, advice, support and delivery of a defined pilot programme of activity in furtherance of our draft Cyber Security Cluster Strategy (with Operational Technology focus). This will include the production of an Evaluation Report of all activity delivered as part of the pilot programme, as well as completion of the final draft of the Scarborough Cyber Security Cluster Strategy. The Scarborough Cyber Security Cluster programme, which is the product of public and private sector collaboration over the past 18 months, is strategically important because of its alignment to a number of National and Local Policies, including * Scarborough LEP Local Industrial Strategy * LEP's Workforce Skills Strategy * Y&NY LEP Covid-19 Economic Recovery Plan * Scarborough Local Plan * Scarborough Town Centre Strategy * National Planning Policy Framework * UK Covid-19 Recovery Strategy * UK Industrial Strategy * International Research & Innovation Strategy * Department of Education Post-16 Skills Plan * National Cyber Security Strategy (NCSS) The principal aim of creating a Regional Cyber Security Cluster in Scarborough is to develop skills and talent, create high value jobs and drive economic prosperity and industrial growth. It is a key element of our Devolution Deal for York and North Yorkshire The Scarborough Cyber Security Cluster Strategy aspires to establish Scarborough and the Yorkshire Coast as national centre of excellence for cyber security with a specialist focus on OT - backed by a strategic partnership between government, industry and academic institutions - creating new opportunities, product, services and solutions to new and existing business and providing new, innovative and in demand cyber security skills. The cluster will be built around a network approach, drawing on existing strength and capabilities, physical buildings may come in time and Scarborough's proposed FabLab+ facility will have a pivotal role
