Notice Description

Industry Request For Information (RFI) for minefield breaching systems to support Field Army manoeuvres". UK Land Forces require a capability to reduce explosive barriers prior to employment of mechanical breaching solution. The key requirements are detailed below but scale (length and width) and effectiveness (assurance level/% reduction) will be priority drivers. Key User Requirements/Assumptions - Required to reduce explosive barriers prior to employment of mechanical breach capability - Assume primary target being minefields (AT threat) - Clearance of EO 60-100% effective within 4.5m width - reducing to 40-50% beyond 4.5m boundaries - >200m length of reduced/cleared route at a time - > 4.5m width of reduced/cleared route (note current is 7.3m) - Does not require Service Personnel to be in open forward in Direct Fire Zone - (assume operate closed down from AFV or controlled remotely) - Self propelled or trailed behind in service armoured vehs (assume Trojan) - Ability to reload to continue breach beyond initial 200m (inc simple reload process, <10 mins) or have pre-loaded sequential firing capability If you would be interested in delivering this requirement, please let the Authority know no later than 30th April 2024.
