Notice Description

This scheme delivers the relocation of Waterbeach Railway Station. It includes for the detailed design, construction and entry into service of the station via the appointment of a main contractor. The scheme itself constitutes highway improvements, a new access road, car park & drop-off, 2No. platforms, footbridge, demolition of the existing Waterbeach Station and all other required infrastructure for the new station. Interested parties are invited to access the document attached to this notice "WAT-SLC-XX-REP-MPM-004-Market Testing Questions Final" and complete it as indicated, returning it to Jon Collyns at Jon.collyns@cambridgeshire.gov.uk no later than 5pm on Friday 19th January 2024. Bidder should note the supplementary information below: - Construction budget (incl detailed design) The D&B construction budget is circa PS25m - Procurement/ D&B timescales ES4 end 17 Oct 2024 - - ES5 start 18 Oct 2024 - ES5 end 05 Jan 2026 - - ES6 start 05 Jan 2026 - ES6 end 30 Dec 2026 - - ES7 start 04 Jan 2027 - ES7 end 08 Oct 2027 - - This is a multi-disciplinary project that covers a new railway station, car park, taxi drop off and access road, as well carrying out improvement works on some of the local highways. There are some track and signalling works including level crossings - The new station will be in full operation before the decommissioning & demolition of the existing station
