Notice Description

Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council is looking to appoint a Specialist Design and Build Contractor directly experienced in decked car parks as their partner to develop a new decked car park in central Welwyn Garden City. The site is currently a public surface car park. The project is to increase capacity by: Option A nett 180 car parking spaces or Option B nett 360 spaces depending on the completion and outcome of the Councils overall car parking study and strategy. It is a requirement that tenderers submit bids for both options i.e. Option A and Option B. The evaluation criteria and scoring methodology will be the same for each option but the decision on which option to proceed with will be made separately by the Council outside of the tender evaluation process following completion of their overall Town Centre car parking strategy. The Council reserve the right to choose between Option A and Option B completely at their discretion and the highest scoring contractor in accordance with the evaluation methodology set out in Section 3 below for the selected Option shall be taken forward to the Second Stage irrespective of the tenderers position for the Option not to be proceeded with..
