Early Years Education Recovery (EYER) Programme: Level 3 review
Notice Description
The purpose of this notice is to notify the market of likely forthcoming procurement activity relating to a review of the Level 3 early years qualifications criteria. This notice is associated with the Early Years Recovery Programme, Strand 3: a review of the Level 3 qualifications criteria, leading towards a reformed, evidence-based L3 qualification. Rationale for conducting the Level 3 review: - The early years educator (EYE) Level 3 qualification criteria was last updated in 2014. The sector has told us that it needs updating. - In 2019, 80% of staff in Private, Voluntary and Independent (PVI) settings were qualified to at least a Level 3. Updating and improving the criteria will have a significant impact on the sector as we look to improve the quality of early years education. Additional information: Please note: this notice is for expressions of interest from organisations interested in the Level 3 review, within the Department's Early Years Recovery Programme. This notice is for information only and is intended to be indicative. Therefore, all information presented here is subject to change. Accordingly, the Department for Education will not be liable for any cost, expenditure, work or effort incurred by any party acting on the basis of this PIN.
