Notice Description

Set in the parish of Aldwick, Queens Field Recreation Ground is approximately a 4 hectare site which is used for general recreation, organised football and cricket. Arun District Council's 2011-2016 Play Strategy identifies the on-site play area as a 'Key Local Site' - which is a site recognised as high priority in terms of local provision. It should provide a good range of facilities preferably for younger or older children, with adequate seating. Aldwick Parish Council consulted local residents in the summer of 2015 to identify what improvements they would like to see at the play area. Following the consultation the Parish Council met with Arun District Council to agree priorities taking account of the consultation findings and available budget. The budget for the project is ?21,000 to ?23,000 (including ?2,000 contingency) and the Council will only accept bids within this range. Given the details set out in the specification tenderers are to offer a scheme that provides good value for money whilst potentially providing the most satisfying experience for users.
