Urgent Care Centre service in Corby

Notice Description

NHS Corby Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is inviting suitably qualified and experienced providers to deliver the Service to serve the Corby area. The Urgent Care Service comprises the timely treatment of illness or injury in a primary care setting on an un-scheduled basis. The new Urgent Care Centre (UCC) service in Corby will bring together all existing urgent care services to ensure a single point of access for patients. The UCC will provide timely treatment for less serious illnesses and injuries which require immediate care but which do not require the full services of an Accident & Emergency Department. To reduce overall costs and deliver the aims and objectives outlined in the business case, bidders will need to consider throughout their tender how they will: * reduce A&E attendances by 25% reduce paediatric 24 hour emergency admissions by 25% and adults by 50% * ensure appropriate use of the UCC * reduce emergency admissions by working collaboratively with community based services. All relevant documentation can be found at: https://procontract.due-north.com/ Additional information: In continuation to an early engagement notice published on Contracts Finder portal on 13th September 2018, Commissioners at NHS Corby CCG have now published an Invitation to Tender for suppliers/service providers to offer Urgent Care Centre service for minor injuries and illness services. In this instance, commissioners at NHS Corby CCG have reserved the right to publish an opportunity related to the provision of extended access contract for NHS Corby CCG practices separately . Any opportunity published in regards to the extended access contract for NHS Corby CCG practices will be advertised on Contracts Finder and OJEU portal. As such, we request any supplier(s) interested in providing this service to monitor these two portals. In case of any queries please email NELCSU.ProcurementNorthants@nhs.net.
