Fertility Electronic Patient Record / Patient Management System
Notice Description
*PLEASE NOTE* - The contracting Authority for this requirement is Birmingham Women's and Children's NHS Foundation Trust Steelhouse Lane Birmingham B4 6NH Birmingham Women's and Children's Hospital NHS Foundation Trust (the "Authority") is issuing this invitation to tender in connection with the competitive procurement of a Fertility Electronic Patient Record / Patient Management System. The Fertility Centre and wider Fertility services within Birmingham Women's and Children's NHS Foundation Trust (BWCH) are embarking on a ground-breaking project to enable the transformation of clinical care and utilise technological solutions to manage patients and care better, in an integrated way and also often more remotely and closer to home. The purpose of this specification is to outline the requirements for the provision of an IT solution which seamlessly connects the multiple departments, external regulator, hospital teams and patients. The IT solution will support data collection and analysis including via customisable and dynamic patient questionnaires in their portal; capture and transfer patient data and ultrasound images and video; enable remote clinical triage and review; allow for full integration with related fertility hardware and BWCH's IT systems; and include mechanisms to feedback to both administrative, clinical teams and patients. To support clinical flow the system must be user-friendly and intuitive, fast, and easy to enter patient outcomes which are then can when and where appropriate be automatically actioned and communicated with patients, their referrer, our regulators (the HFEA), and relevant team members.
