Notice Description

NWL CCG requires a locally based service in Brent to provide support to the HIV positive population. Key Requirements: -Offer services to promote long-term life skills, encourage the development of a supportive social community, & to empower participants with the ability to better self-manage their condition through: -Counselling/Talking Therapies for people living with or affected by HIV -Pain Management Therapies including aromatherapy & shiatsu which can help reduce stress, increase a general sense of health & wellbeing, provide pain relief & reduce treatment side effects such as disturbed sleep & anxiety -Life Coaching by qualified professionals that work one-on one with a participant to enable them to move forward & achieve realistic yet ambitious goals -Wellbeing Groups workshops aimed at improving wellbeing, confidence & motivation while increasing participants' ability to make healthier life choices Service should be: -Available in a range of one-to-one & group formats as appropriate, including face-to-face, telephone & online support -Equitable to all people living with & affected by HIV -Accessible by public transport -Considerate of the demographic profile & diversity in a sensitive & inclusive manner -Targeted to individuals & groups most affected by HIV, adapting focus as necessary throughout the lifetime of the contract -Delivered in English but mindful of those for whom English is not their first language -Delivered at a wide variety of times to meet the need, including weekdays & weekends -Supportive of people who request urgent help -Upon entry service users should receive a comprehensive initial assessment that evaluates eligibility, need & identifies & prioritises which services are most appropriate The CCG currently has a contract in place with Living Well to provide the above services. The current term is 1 Oct 2021 - 31 Mar 2022 (value: PS35,288) during which time, the CCG will assess the needs of the service users & consider how it needs to secure the needs of the people & improve the quality & efficiency in the provision of the services. NWL CCG is currently of the view that the full scope of the services described are capable of being provided only by Living Well (LW). While other organisation may be able to provide elements of the service requirement, LW can provide the full scope to the cohort with a wide range of services designed to improve & maintain overall mental health & wellbeing while also helping to reduce loneliness & social isolation. Any capable provider able to provide the full scope may come forward by 11th March 2022 to engage with the CCG. In the case that LW is the only provider capable of delivering the services described, then the CCG will look to award a further contract to Living Well for up to 2 years. During 2022, it is anticipated that NWL CCG will be succeeded by an Integrated Care Board (ICB). Any future opportunity may therefore be in the name of the ICB.
