Notice Description
Torbay Council is seeking a supplier who will provide software to enable better optimisation of our home-to-school transport arrangements. Local authorities have a responsibility to make transport arrangements for all eligible children, we are looking for software that will support our transport team in planning home-to-school transport, the software should help us to optimise routes, which will also optimise route reduction emissions, it will help us to be more efficient in our home to school transport provision, increase confidence that the transport team are seeking to provide the best option for the child in transport provision. Help reduce costs in home-to-school transport provision, reduce time in planning routes, and increase our accuracy in understanding the distance from a child's home to school. The software should help us to reduce our customer response times and increase our ability to identify the quickest and most cost-effective route for individual children. It should help us identify safe walking routes for children which will support the introduction of our travel training programme. Additional information: In order to provide unrestricted, full, direct and free of charge access to the Tender Documents the Authority is providing the Documents in PDF format in the 'Opportunities' Area of the ProContract e-Tendering portal, at www.supplyingthesouthwest.org.uk In order to access amendable versions of the Documents and to submit a response, Applicants must be registered as Suppliers on ProContract.
