Contract for the UK Operation of the ECO Management and Audit Scheme

Notice Description

The Customer is responsible for implementing the Eco-Management and Audit Scheme (EMAS) in the United Kingdom (UK). EMAS is a voluntary European Union wide environmental registration scheme which requires organisations to implement an Environmental Management System (EMS) and report publicly on their performance. Article 5 of the Regulation requires Member States to set up a Competent Body responsible for the administration and registration functions of the scheme. For reference, a copy of the Regulation is at: http://ec.europa.eu/environment/emas/emas_publications/policy_en.htm Additional information: Please note that Defra procurement uses e-tendering, provided by Bravosolutions.
