Summary of the contracting process

The Welcome Ambassadors Programme, initiated by Sefton Council, is a tender aimed at enhancing visitor and resident experiences in Southport, particularly during events like the Open Golf Championships scheduled for July. This service falls under the category of recreational, cultural, and sporting services, with a contract value of £100,000. The procurement method used is an open procedure, with the tender period having ended on 27 April 2017. The contract is set to commence on 1 May 2017 and will continue until 31 October 2017, engaging a dedicated team to provide exceptional public engagement and support.

This opportunity is particularly well-suited for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs) that have expertise in customer service, public engagement, or community support. Given the emphasis on managing public interactions and issues within the community, businesses that offer training services, uniform provision, or have experience in public-facing roles will find this tender a viable avenue for growth. Engaging in this programme allows companies to showcase their capabilities during high-profile events, potentially leading to further contracts in similar public service fields.
