Notice Description

274/EML/NAM/15 Powder Flow Tester The University of Sheffield wishes to invite tenders for supply to the NAMTEC Group of the Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre at Catcliffe in Rotherham. Scope of the Requirement: The supply, installation and commissioning of a rheometer, shear cell type system to measure powder flow properties. The system should be able to measure powder materials under a wide range of conditions to determine how the powder will behave under typical processing conditions. These changing conditions include pressure, temperature, humidity and energy level applied to the powder. The system should be used to examine metallic, ceramic and polymeric powder materials. It is intended to be primarily used in a research laboratory setting for characterising the flow properties of powder metals used in additive manufacture, HIP and other PM processes.
