Provision of International Recruitment Services to the University of Birmingham The University is seeking to appoint an organisation to provide student recruitment services to deliver enrolments of international students in support of the University's strategic aim to grow its international student body. Initially, the focus of the student recruitment services will be at the Undergraduate level of study. The organisation will manage the student recruitment process which will involve: soliciting applications from prospective international students (overseas fee payers) on behalf of the University; ensuring applications meet the University's academic and English language requirements; submitting suitable applications via the University's existing admissions systems (i.e. UCAS). The organisation will be expected to demonstrate a reliable and ongoing track record of delivering international student recruitment targets to Russell Group university client (s) (through a global student recruitment infrastructure. The student recruitment process will be supplementary to the University's core international student recruitment activities and the organisation will not be permitted to use existing agents and sponsor relationships as part of the arrangement. A list of University agents by country can be found here: http://www.birmingham.ac.uk/International/students/country/index.aspx The University will work with the organisation to set pre-agreed annual student recruitment targets. The organisation's annual targets will be set according to the University's wider recruitment objectives and will be broken down by subject area. The University will expect a breakdown of expected enrolments by market. Subject areas and target recruitment territories are subject to change as part of the annual review process. The organisation will have the ability to recruit from all non-EU markets with the following exceptions: * China * Singapore * Hong Kong * Nigeria * Kenya * South Africa * Botswana * Canada * Indonesia * United Arab Emirates The organisation will have the ability to recruit to all Undergraduate programmes delivered by the University on-campus on a full-time basis with the following exceptions: * BSc Accounting and Finance * Medicine and Surgery MBChB * Dental Surgery BDS The organisation should have access to an existing and developed international recruitment infrastructure, encompassing a range of channels including an extensive network of international educational agents, relationships with international sponsors and digital marketing outlets. The organisation should have a UK-based recruitment team in place to manage recruitment channels and to keep the University updated on progress made against targets.
