Summary of the contracting process

The London Borough of Newham (LBN) is currently in the planning stage for the "LBN Transforming Community Equipment Service" tender, which aims to establish an Approved Provider List (APL) for a duration of one year, commencing from September 1, 2018, and concluding on August 31, 2019. This service is classified under the medical consumables industry. Interested parties must register their interest by May 30, 2018. The procurement will be conducted via a selective method with the aim of ensuring at least two providers across each community neighbourhood within the borough to guarantee geographical equity.

This opportunity is ideal for businesses such as pharmacies registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council that operate within the London Borough of Newham, especially those that can deliver community health services. The tender focuses on procuring and supplying Simple Aids to Daily Living (SADLs), thus creating avenues for health-focused companies looking to expand their services to vulnerable groups, disabled individuals, and the elderly. Successful providers will play a critical role in facilitating timely hospital discharges and supporting individuals in maintaining their independence.
