Job Title: Senior Legal Assistant Rate of Pay: PS19.85 per hour (Inside IR35) Hours: 37 hours per week Location: Sandwell Council House, Oldbury, B69 3DE Start Date: ASAP Contract type: Temporary (Agency) 12 weeks with a view to extend Job Description and Personnel Specification are attached, which also provides more information above the role. Brief description: At Sandwell Council we are progressive, dynamic, and dedicated to meeting the needs of our community. We now wish to recruit a Senior Legal Assistant (Employment) in our Civil and Business team who shares our vision. The ideal candidate will have 2 years practical experience of employment law working within a legal team or equivalent environment. Experience of providing advice and assistance in relation to employment cases including conducting employment tribunal case management discussions, directions hearing, preparing settlement agreements and experience of advocacy. Qualification: Member or fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives or newly qualified Solicitor or Barrister. The candidate will need to be proactive, work well under pressure, self-reliant as well as work as part of a wider team. The successful candidate will gain considerable exposure to a varied workload with a high level of responsibility and extensive client contact.
