Summary of the contracting process

The London Borough of Bromley is conducting a tender for the "Lease of the Crystal Palace Concert Platform" located in the South East region of the United Kingdom. This tender seeks bids for a 15-year full repairing and insuring lease of the concert platform within Crystal Palace Park, as part of a marketing exercise aimed at bringing a neglected park asset into commercial and community use. The tender period concludes on 28th February 2020, with the contract taking effect from 1st July 2020 until 30th June 2035. The estimated value of the project is £300,000. Please note that an open day previously scheduled for 25th January has been cancelled due to lack of interest, so potential bidders must register for individual slots if they wish to view the facility.

This tender presents a unique opportunity for businesses in the recreational, cultural, and sporting services industry, particularly those with experience in venue management, event planning, or community engagement. As the Council seeks a tenant to operate and invest in the platform, firms capable of revitalising and maximising the potential of this space will be particularly well-suited to compete. While this process does not fall under typical public procurement regulations, it allows for innovative proposals that can align with the Council's mission to enhance community assets, making it attractive for businesses looking to expand their footprint in localised cultural ventures.
