Background to the British Antarctic Survey The British Antarctic Survey is a Research Council part of UK Research and Innovation specialising in polarlogistics and scientific research.The strategic plan is as follows: - Our Vision To be a world-leading centre for polar science and polar operations, addressing issues of global importance and helping society adapt to a changing world. Purpose of this expression of interest. British Antarctic Survey will re-tender their soft FM services later this year but want to get closer to the marketplace to help define their business requirements and contracting strategy. Equally, British Antarctic Survey want to collaborate with suppliers by sharing these business requirements at an early stage and actively seeking supplier feedback. Accordingly, a supplier day will be held on Thursday 21st June and Friday 22nd June where the representatives of British Antarctic Survey look forward to holdingpositive and engaging discussions with suppliers who share the passion for world leading polar science and research. These representatives look forward to discussing how potential suppliers can addvalue to this important area and thereby helping us to deliver frontier science. These visits will give potentialsuppliers the opportunity to attend the site and to discuss with the individuals from British Antarctic Survey theproposed scope and deliverable of this contract. This contract will be made up of the following five services,to help bidders identify an outline of these requirements and a short brief of the services can be seen withinthe supporting document. These are the services to which British Antarctic Survey are looking for suppliers toprovide value and innovation. Agenda The visit will be held on Thursday 21st June and Friday 22nd June. This is the agenda:- * Arrival * Virtual tour of the site 15 minutes * Discussion between British Antarctic Survey and the Supplier on the delivery of specific business requirements. The Supplier should describe how value can be added and how the supplier plans to execute the service strategy. (30 minutes): o Cleaning o Manned guarding o Landscape Maintenance o Pest control o Waste * Closing question and answer session (15 minutes) * Next steps - British Antarctic Survey (10 minutes) Individual dates and times will be provided for those suppliers that register their interest.
