Perranzabuloe Parish Council would like to invest in landscaping works to the Inner Green at Perranporth. The Inner Green is a large area of approximately 0.5 of a hectare which is a valuable community space for residents and visitors alike and which may be used for activities such as picnicking, children's play, relaxing, local events and exercising dogs. The location, adjacent to a large exposed beach, means that the area is subject to high winds and both salt and sand spray. Further details and information may be obtained by contacting The Parish Clerk on 01872572727 or by email at: Additional information: The design should seek to incorporate the Council's priorities as detailed herewith: Improve and/or stabilise grass surfaces; ensure it cannot be dug up ( eg. grasscrete ); defined pathways and pedestrian access; areas for picnicking and family activity; open / flexible space for event use ( also allowing unrestricted use of the whole area for larger events ); Otion to introduce subtle zoning for a variety of uses; seaside and coastal chjaracter ( environmentally friendly materials and methods ); Resistant to the harsher elements; Ensure low maintenance; Increase aesthetic appeal with planting and features; accessible to all ages and abilities; Encouraging events and entertainments of all kinds; Possible water feature (s), drinking fountains and water refill facilities; Appropriate seating and tables ( some there already ). All works need to be completed over the Winter months ( October-March ) during the low season for tourism.
