Summary of the contracting process

The NHS Wandsworth Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is currently looking to establish a two-year contract for the Young Commissioners Programme aimed at enhancing the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) across Wandsworth. The procurement process is in the award stage as of 11th July 2019, with an active contract valued at £61,000, extendable for an additional two years. The tender was published on 26th April 2019, and proposals were accepted until the deadline of 17th May 2019. The project falls under the Education and training services and Health and social work services categories, located in London, United Kingdom.

This opportunity is particularly suitable for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community and social enterprises (VCSEs) that have experience in mental health services and community engagement. By participating in this programme, businesses can help shape essential services for young people, providing inspiration and resilience in the CAMHS domain. Engaging in this project not only enhances service delivery but also allows organisations to strengthen their reputation and expand their client base within the health and social care sector.

Notice Title

Young Commissioners Programme to shape CAMHS across Wandsworth CCG

Notice Description

NHS Wandsworth Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is seeking proposals from suitably experienced providers to establish and run a new service to support a Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) Young Commissioners Programme. It is intended that the Young Commissioners Programme (YCP) will develop a range of participatory activities that will support multiple opportunities for young people to feedback and to get involved in shaping and improving services. They will do this on a formalised and rolling basis, so that there are always new and fresh opportunities for young people to help shape services. They will draw upon good practice with regards to co-production that exists elsewhere in London The YCP will directly contribute toward the achievement of key outcomes including an increased proportion of young people reporting a good or better experience of CAMHS services and also in their experience of transition from CAMHS to Adult Mental Health Services. Investment for the YCP has been secure for 2 years hence the contract being offered is for 2 years, but with the CCG reserving the right to extend this for up to a further 2 years (potentially up to 4 years in total).
