Notice Title
Opportunity for Suppliers/Developers of Technology as Relevant to the Social Care Market.
Notice Description
East Riding of Yorkshire Council (the Council) in conjunction with the University of Hull has developed a Social Care Innovation Programme (SCIP) with the aim of improving productivity, quality and overall sustainability in social care providers who support residents of the East Riding of Yorkshire. The Programme which is part funded by European Regional Development Fund and the Northern Powerhouse; has an overall budget of circa PS1.5m which will be used to run the Programme, research relevant technology; identify 'existing' and 'new to market' technology and grant fund Small and Medium Sized Care Providers to procure/purchase products identified through the Programme. The Programme will progress under 2 main workstreams with these researching gaps in social care and identifying technological solutions that will address the identified gaps. Workstream 1 will research and identify solutions available in existing technology, and support in the implementation and evaluation of such technology in SME care provider sites. Workstream 2 will research and support in the development and test bedding of 'new to the social care market' technology. If you are a supplier of 'existing technology' which you consider supports the provision of higher quality and more effective social care; we would be pleased to receive information about your system/technology product and how this could improve productivity, quality and overall sustainability in social care provision. Please contact scip@hull.ac.uk to submit your brochure / information / contact details with a brief summary of the functionality and approximate cost preferably by Friday 9 July 2021 Researchers on the Programme will consider the benefits of the technology in relation to meeting the aims of the Programme and where relevant, will invite you to showcase your technology to an audience of social care organisations. Small and Medium Sized Care Provider Organisations will be invited to apply for grant funding with which they can purchase technology as identified through this Programme. We aim to have a showcase event in mid-summer with the grant offer to SME Care Providers opening in August 2021. The showcase event could support you to better market your product and to highlight the benefits of using such technology in care sites leading to a likely increase in sales. If you are currently developing technology which you consider will cost effectively address needs in social care provision, and could benefit from working with social care providers in the final development of your product, and further benefit from a test bed environment for your 'new to market' technology; then this is advance notice of a forthcoming Innovation Partnership Tender to invite expressions of interest from developers of 'new to social care market' technology. If you are interested and would want more information on this forthcoming Tender, please contact scip@hull.ac.uk with a brief summary of your product.
