Summary of the contracting process

West Midlands Combined Authority is currently undertaking a planning stage for a Market Sounding Exercise titled "Fare Collection System." This initiative is aimed at gathering insights into the capabilities of the marketplace, which will inform upcoming procurement activities related to ticket-issuing machines and automatic fare collection systems. Interested suppliers should note that the engagement deadline is set for 12 Noon on 5th November 2018. The delivery addresses for this project are within the West Midlands region of the United Kingdom, specifically in Birmingham.

This Market Sounding Exercise presents a valuable opportunity for businesses specialising in fare collection technologies, particularly those involved in ticket-issuing machines and integrated payment systems. Companies that can demonstrate innovative solutions and a strong understanding of the fare collection landscape would be ideally placed to engage with the West Midlands Combined Authority. Participation in this exercise will not influence future procurement assessments but may provide insights beneficial for the subsequent Fare Collection System tendering process.
