Notice Description

The council is seeking to commission an On-line support service for carers who look after someone with Mental Health problems. This specialist service is focussed on support for carers of people with mental health concerns and is complementary to support provided by a countywide independent carers support service. The service is designed to deliver family intervention and behavioural change techniques that can be accessed by carers from their own homes.The service aims to maximise patient and family outcomes by blending use of technology, specialised expertise and a personal human connection. The service helps patients and families develop a new level of understanding and sustain healthier habits over time. The service will be provided through on-line platform with interactive communication function that will enable communication between clinicians and carers who look after person who is diagnosed with mental health issues such as psychosis, chizophrenia or bipolar disorder, Depression, Anxiety, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Adjustment disorder or Emotional Unstable Personality Disorder. The duration of the contract is for total of 3 years made up of initial 2 year term with further 1 year of extension available at the Council discretion.
