Notice Information
Notice Title
711250451 - Provision of Crimes Chorus Licence for SPCB (DInfoCom/0264)
Notice Description
Description: 12-month procurement of specific Chorus intelligence suite modules identified together with hosting within the Chorus cloud environment. The requirement has been implemented during the testing phase and will be sustained as Chorus goes live, allowing for potential future increases in licences. The contract must be in place by 01 May 2024. The FIIU engages in open-source research and analysis to support broader Service Police investigations within the Service Justice System (SJS). The existing hardware and software infrastructure, situated on a standalone LAN at the Service Police Crime Bureau (SPCB), has become obsolete in light of the rapidly evolving landscape of digital policing. Consequently, there is a need to modernize and enhance the capabilities of the FIIU to transform it into a fully operational and credible law enforcement agency. This procurement initiative aims to upgrade and modernize the FIIU's capabilities, addressing the pressing challenge posed by the exponential growth of digital crime in the UK. Extensive market research has identified the Chorus cloud intelligence suite as the optimal solution to meet the business requirements of the Service Police. The Chorus platform, operating as a secure private cloud, is specifically designed for UK law enforcement agencies engaged in digital investigations with a focus on open-source material. Leveraging a range of disciplines, Chorus facilitates the discovery and analysis of open-source data, transforming it into valuable intelligence and evidence. Notably, Chorus has become a mainstream open-source software solution for numerous Home Office Police Forces and other law enforcement agencies. The Chorus environment is hosted in the UK in within secure hosting facilities. The Data Centre is Police Assured Secure Facility (PASF) accredited, holds ISO27001 and ISO9001 accreditations and has layered physical and technical security procedures.
