Summary of the contracting process

Cornwall Council is initiating a procurement process titled "Strategic partners for the development, delivery and operation of Extra-Care housing in Cornwall," which is currently in the planning stage. The Council is looking to appoint one or more strategic partners to develop and operate a minimum of 750 extra-care housing units across Cornwall, as part of a broader ambition to deliver a total of 3,536 new units by the year 2025. Notice Description

Cornwall Council's (the Council) is seeking to appoint a strategic partner or partners to work with the Council to: * develop a wave of extra-care housing across Cornwall at scale and pace; * develop, deliver (to include design, finance and construction) and operate (to include facilities management and care/support services) a minimum of 750 extra-care housing units across Cornwall; * provide a blended solution (over and above the 750 Extra-Care units) as required to include but not be limited to the provision of ad-hoc: o care and support services where Extra-Care housing units have not been developed / delivered by a strategic partner; o development and or operational services. This requirement is part of the Council's broader ambition to deliver 3,536 new extra-care homes in Cornwall by 2025. Additional information: The Council is inviting interested providers to participate in the following soft market engagement activities: * a Soft Market Questionnaire; * a Provider Information Event that shall take place on 9th August 2018 at St Austell Conference Centre, StAustell Business Park, Cornwall, PL25 4FD https://www.staustellconferencecentre.co.uk If you are interested in participating in the Council's soft market engagement activities you are invited to: * register on the Council's Due-North system https://www.supplyingthesouthwest.org.uk and express an interest in the project. Thereafter you are invited to complete the Soft Market Questionnaire and return it to theCouncil via the Due North system by 12 noon 24th August 2018; * book a place and confirm your attendance at the Council's Provider Information Event using the following weblink http://www.cornwall.gov.uk/extracareevent
