Summary of the contracting process

Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) is in the planning stage of a tender titled "TfGM LEVI Charge Point Supplier" in the category of Transport equipment and auxiliary products to transportation. The goal is to finalise the procurement strategy for an Electric Vehicle (EV) charge point supplier to utilise LEVI (Local Electric Vehicle Infrastructure) funding. This project aims to roll out charging infrastructure across all 10 Greater Manchester Local Authority areas. A significant milestone in this procurement process is the end of the engagement period on 10th September 2024, providing a window for market consultation and the collection of supplier information.

This tender represents a substantial growth opportunity for businesses specialising in EV charging solutions. Companies with demonstrated expertise in the provision of low-power, on-street EV charging infrastructure are particularly well-suited to compete. Participation will enable these suppliers to contribute to the capital funding mix, combining public and private sector investments. Given the project's emphasis on supporting residents without off-street parking, organisations with innovative and practical charging solutions will find this a lucrative venture. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are especially encouraged to respond, aligning with TfGM's objectives to commercialise and expand local EV charging infrastructure.
