Notice Description

West Northamptonshire Council (WNC) is a new Unitary authority that came into existence on Thursday, 1st April 2021 following the Northamptonshire Structural Changes Order 2019. This engagement aims to inform the market of a potential opportunity and gather feedback regarding the requirement stated below: WNC is seeking to appoint an organisation to provide a digital weight management offer that meets the NICE guidance and targets our obese population with a Body Mass Index (BMI) of 30 or over (or a BMI of 27.5 in the case of ethnic minority population). The contract term would be 2 years with the option to extend the contract for a further year twice (2 additional years in total). The Council is seeking to target those populations that don't traditional access weight management services such as those living in the top 50% most deprived areas men, ethnic minorities amongst others. The digital offer should be available via both a website and in application (app) form on IOS and Android. Currently the Council is expecting a minimum take up of this service of 2,500 residents per annum. An estimated annual value of PS70,000 has been identified. Please note that this is an estimate and may change. The Council is seeking to engage interested organisations in answering the following questions: 1. What is the likelihood that the parameters currently set for the service are viable given the estimated annual value on a scale of 1-5: 5. Highly likely 4. Likely 3. Neither likely not unlikely 2. Unlikely 1. Highly unlikely 2. Given the estimated annual value, would the current structure of the service interest your organisation? Yes or No 3. Are there any other factors you would wish to highlight to the Council as it enters this process? Please submit your response, limited to one side of A4, outlining your organisations responses. Email your response to Procurement@westnorthants.gov.uk quoting "Ref Adult Tier 2 digital weight management service provider engagement " no later than the close of business on 30th November 2023.
