Tender for the provisioning of a Main Contractor for the construction of affordable housing (Phase 3b)

Notice Description

Southend-on-Sea City Council are seeking a suitably qualified Main Contractor (Contractor) to undertake control of the site detailed in the Tender Documents. The Contractor will then (as per the detail in the Tender Documents) be required to design and build new affordable housing for the site. This work will be undertaken based upon the JCT Design and Build Contract (2nd Recital). The requirements of the preparation of the site and the construction of the new affordable housing are described within the Employer's Requirements. The Contractor will be required to undertake / deliver all approved planning requirements. The Contract will be let under JCT 2016 Design and Build with Employer's Requirements, drawings, contract sum analysis, building specification, mechanical and electrical specification, structural specification. The Contractor will be required to complete the detailed design of RIBA Stages 4 to 7 Tender Documents can be accessed via: https://procurement.southend.gov.uk/southend/portal.nsf/index.htm The deadline for receipt of clarification requests relating to the Tender Documents: 14:00 Friday 24th January 2025 The deadline for submission of a completed Tender Response is: 14:00 Tuesday 11th February 2025 The Minimum Level Requirements are covered in detail in the Tender Documents provided. This includes, but is not limited to, detail on Ability, Financial Standing, Minimum Required Annual Turnover and Insurance. The elements of the evaluation which are "scored" or "pass / fail" are fully explained within the documentation provided as part of the procurement process. ***Contract start date & Contract end date are indicative and are provided only to satisfy mandatory fields of the Notice. ***
