Summary of the contracting process

The Cambridgeshire District Councils are currently seeking a Lead Project Coordinator for the Cambridgeshire Culture Card Prototype Project, aimed at utilising the arts to mitigate social and economic inequalities in access to cultural engagement. This active tender, classified under recreational, cultural, and sporting services, is in the tender stage and will remain open until 26 March 2018. The minimum contract value is £8,500, with a total value of £9,500. The contract period will commence on 16 April 2018 and run until 31 December 2018, with the project taking place in the East of England.

This procurement presents a significant opportunity for businesses that specialise in arts coordination, community engagement, and project management, particularly smaller enterprises capable of innovative approaches to cultural programming. Companies with expertise in user engagement strategies, gamification, and branding are particularly well-suited to compete for this contract, as they can help fulfil the project's aim of increasing access to cultural activities for young people from low-income backgrounds.

Notice Title

Cambridgeshire Culture Card Prototype Project: Lead Project Coordinator

Notice Description

The Cambridgeshire Culture Card Scheme will use the arts to address a range of social, economic, educational and engagement inequalities. The Prototype Project aims to close the arts participation gap, increase equality of access, and ensure that more young people from low-income backgrounds have the same opportunities and benefits from engaging in culture as their more advantaged peers. It will enable us to explore and test some of the communication, user engagement and gamification methods that could support a live and fully operational version of the scheme. The Lead Project Coordinator will be responsible for meeting the strategic aims of the prototype activity and the overall coordination of the project, including the project team, stakeholders, activity providers and participants. This will include responsibility for the administration of the project, managing the workshop programme, incentivisation programme, data gathering, overseeing development aspects such as branding, design, gamification and app development, contributing to the Communication and User Engagement Action Plan, and the overall project delivery. The end of the project will need to culminate a sharing event for all stakeholders to discuss the findings of the prototype activity.
