Notice Title

Licensing Opportunity - Australian and New Zealand Public Service Lists, 1892-1929

Notice Description

The National Archives (TNA) is seeking expressions of interest from potential partners to digitise, transcribe and to publish online the records of The Australian and New Zealand Public Service Lists, 1892-1929. The contract award would include a commercial license to publish online digital images and associated transcription data, and a requirement to undertake all the necessary activities to make that possible - including conservation, digital image capture, transcription of data to allow for meaningful searches of the records, and online publication. Against the backdrop where much of the personal details recorded in Australian census records were, (often as a matter of policy, as well by accident) destroyed or lost, this collection of 75 bound volumes of Australian and New Zealand Public Service Lists, 1892-1929, includes names, dates of employment, state/government department employer and job titles, providing depth and interest for genealogists and historians. If this potential opportunity is of interest to you, please email us at procurement@nationalarchives.gov.uk by March 25th, 2019.
