Summary of the contracting process

The Peterborough City Council is currently in the planning stage of a procurement process for "Care and repair services", which aims to solicit views from potential providers regarding the delivery of repairs and adaptation work for older disabled and vulnerable adults and disabled children. This initiative is part of a Soft Market Testing Exercise intended to explore how optimal service packages can promote bids from a diverse range of suppliers, including charities, social enterprises, and Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). The engagement end date is set for 5th February 2018, and the primary activity is classified under the CPV code 50700000, pertaining to repair and maintenance services of building installations in the East of England.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for businesses, particularly those involved in construction, repairs, and social care services, to engage with the local government and potentially secure contracts to deliver essential services. Companies with experience in working with vulnerable populations, alongside SMEs and new entrants to the market, are encouraged to participate in this procurement process. By providing innovative and cost-effective solutions that align with the Council's objective to reduce costs while ensuring value for money, businesses may strengthen their market presence and contribute positively to community welfare.
