Notice Title

PHE_Screening_Diabetic Eye Screening QA automation

Notice Description

Public Health England (PHE) is seeking to commission an external partner to: a. use their own automated retinal image grading software (please see 2.2 software specification below) to re-grade 10,000 patient image sets from each of the 6 different local diabetic eye screening programmes identified (60,000 image sets in total) and from 3 different screening software; and b. provide a final spreadsheet of results (see table 1 below) for each of the 6 participating programmes. The National Diabetic Eye Screening Programme (NDESP) identified 6 local diabetic eye screening (DES) programmes in which programme grading can be investigated further. The aim is to compare the number of image sets categorised as having no disease, as determined by human graders (manual programme grading), with the number as determined by the automated retinal image software grading. This will be a one-time QA process to determine if the sensitivity of manual programme grading for patients with no disease is above an acceptable threshold. These outcomes must be met by or before 30 November 2018 Additional information: please go to phe.bravosolution.co.uk and go to current opportunities to view the tender documents. Please ensure that you register as a supplier first
