Summary of the contracting process

Sheffield Hallam University is seeking providers for the "Signposting of Volunteering Opportunities Abroad 2019" project, aimed at enhancing students' global engagement through safe and cost-effective volunteering options. This open tender, classified under travel services, is currently active and will close on 14 December 2018, with the contract period commencing on 22 January 2019 and concluding on 21 January 2020. Interested organisations should be prepared to supply volunteering opportunities related to various academic fields, including science, humanities, health, and business management, with an estimated budget of £30,000.

This tender presents an excellent opportunity for businesses specialising in volunteering services, particularly those offering diverse, culturally enriching experiences, to engage with students eager for global exposure. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs) are particularly well-suited to compete, as the project aims to connect students with suitable providers without direct contractual obligations between the University and the providers, fostering educational partnerships and enhancing employability skills for participating students.
