Notice Description

Integrated Urgent Care (NHS 111) Service NHS Milton Keynes CCG would like to seek expressions of interest from organisations who may be interested in the provision of an Integrated Urgent Care service for the population of Milton Keynes. The service will receive telephone calls via the 111 number and triage those calls using a Clinical Decision Support System. Where appropriate, callers will be warm transferred to a clinician who may either be based within the Integrated Urgent Care Service or an external provider as part of a virtual Clinical Hub. The outcome of the calls will be one of the following: * Auto Despatch of an Ambulance * Signposting to an appropriate service * The booking of an appointment with an appropriate service * Advice and guidance given to enable self-care * Appropriate information given The aim of the service is to: * Answer all calls to the 111 telephone number from the Milton Keynes population. To triage appropriate calls using a licensed Clinical Decision Support System. * To warm transfer appropriate calls to a clinician. It is expected that some of these calls will be to clinicians within the service and the others will be to clinicians within a virtual Clinical Hub, i.e. external to the service. * The outcome of all calls is to despatch an ambulance, or signpost to or book an appointment with the most appropriate clinical service, or to give advice and assurance to enable the caller to self-care.
