Summary of the contracting process

Cornwall Council is currently engaged in a tendering process for the "Cornwall Council Construction Framework", which encompasses various construction and M&E (Mechanical and Electrical) works and services. This procurement, classified under the industry category of Building Completion Work, is set to commence in November 2017 and will span four years, concluding in November 2021. The tender period is open until 11th July 2017, and it employs a selective procurement method under a restricted procedure. Contractors from the South West region of England are encouraged to participate, aiming to fulfil projects across multiple Lots that cover different construction needs and price thresholds.

This tender represents a significant opportunity for construction and engineering firms looking to expand their market presence, particularly those with capabilities in managing large-scale projects and fitting out works. Businesses specialising in capital construction, refurbishment, and engineering services will find this framework advantageous, with potential contracts emanating from Cornwall Council and other public sector bodies in the region. Contractors keen to operate within the NEC3 contract parameters and provide services across various housing and commercial projects are well-suited to compete for the multiple Lots available.
