Summary of the contracting process

Sheffield Hallam University is currently in the planning stage of a public procurement process titled "The Campus Masterplan - Approaches to Funding." This tender focuses on the financial services industry, specifically related to financial leasing, corporate finance, and financial consultancy, and is intended to support the University's Estate Masterplan. The key engagement milestone, which marks the end date for participating in this market consultation, is set for 8th January 2021, and the procurement is located in Sheffield, Yorkshire and the Humber, United Kingdom.

This opportunity presents significant potential for businesses engaged in financial services, particularly small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprise (VCSE) organisations. While this Preliminary Market Consultation seeks insights into funding approaches, it is important for interested businesses to understand that a formal procurement opportunity is not assured. Companies providing innovative financial solutions, venture capital, or financial consultancy services would be well-suited to participate in this engagement, helping to shape funding strategies that meet the University's requirements.

Notice Title

The Campus Masterplan - Approaches to Funding

Notice Description

The purpose of this Preliminary Market Consultation (PMC) is to seek views from funders on potential funding approaches for the University's Estate Masterplan. Please note that this PMC is not addressed to, or seeking views from, construction or professional services partners and such organisations should not respond. This is the funding market's opportunity to express its views, outline market developments and generally influence how solutions to the University's needs might be met. There is nothing for the University to formally evaluate/ or select in this activity. PMC is not a call for competition. Following PMC, the university may conclude that procurement is not the best solution to meet a particular strategy outcome. The University may conclude that it would be better to do something entirely different to the intent within this PMC. It is essential that any organisation participating in the PMC understands that a procurement opportunity is not guaranteed.
