Summary of the contracting process

Leicester City Council is currently in the planning stage of a procurement process for a Centralised Key Management Solution. This initiative aims to explore options for an integrated electronic key management system that enhances access control to council buildings, vehicles, and property through digital technology. The engagement end date for this tender is set for 20th November 2019, and it falls under the software programming and consultancy services industry category. The council, based in Leicester, England, is seeking input from potential vendors regarding their capabilities, preferably looking for a single provider to deliver the required components.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses, particularly small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), to engage with Leicester City Council and propose innovative solutions for electronic key management. Companies that specialise in software programming, digital security solutions, and technology integration will find this contract particularly appealing as it aligns with the council's goal to improve its operational efficiency. Businesses that can demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of access control systems and the ability to integrate various components into a cohesive solution will be well-suited to compete effectively for this opportunity.

Notice Title

Pre Market Engagement for a Centralised Key Management Solution

Notice Description

Leicester City Council is considering options for a new integrated electronic key management safe system, linked to the integrated digital technology network, to better control access to Leicester City Council buildings and sites, vehicles and small items of property and provide digital information about use and control of its use in an automated format. We are interested in understanding the market, and whether vendors can supply all (our preferred option) or one of the components we are looking to replace. We are not averse to using different solutions for each of these requirements but would prefer it was channelled through the same provider.
