Notice Title
Data Centre Rationalisation (DCR) Migrations
Notice Description
Defence has commenced a programme of activity to remedy the issues of legacy technology obsolescence. 20 programmes/projects have been identified that start to address the most critical risks. DCR is one such project that seeks to migrate data centre facilities and replace obsolete hardware and software components including a significant proportion of the MS Windows Server OS and DB estate. The 'Cloud-first' principle adopted by DCR is consistent with the 'evergreen' strategy within the legacy obsolescence programme.
