The London Borough of Newham (the Council) is committed to putting people at the heart of everything it does, enabling Newham residents to play a key role in shaping the borough and building better neighbourhoods that work for everyone. The supply of housing for local people is a priority for the Council, and Mayor Fiaz has pledged to deliver 50% of all homes on Newham-owned land as genuinely affordable, including those to be provided on the Canning Town East /Custom House Regeneration Project. Specifically, there is a Mayoral Manifesto commitment to engage with residents to co-design a resident-led Masterplan for the future Canning Town East/Custom House Regeneration Project. The Council is seeking to appoint a suitably experienced consultant to carry out the role of Independent Tenants' and Residents' Advisor for the Canning Town East/Custom House Regeneration Project and provide support to the community throughout the regeneration project. The Council is seeking to appoint a suitably experienced consultant to carry out the role of Independent Tenants' and Residents' Advisor (ITRA) for: (i) Canning Town East: 6 months temporary ITRA position on an adhoc basis (ii) Custom House Regeneration Project : Provision of independent advice and support for up to two years, renewable in six-month tranches to allow review/continuation subject to progress of the regeneration project.
