Notice Description

The supplier must be High Voltage (11KV) Authorised Person Substation & Relay Protection Electrical - Industrial qualified contractor. All personnel who will be involved with the on-site physical works and who will have access to Thames Barrier data (such as drawings and specifications) will be required to obtain and maintain a suitable level of clearance. The baseline standard acceptable is a Counter Terrorist Check (CTC), a precursor to this is a BPSS check. The Environment Agency will provide the details of how to obtain this and will sponsor a reasonable amount of staff through the process. Unescorted access to the operational areas will only be granted once suitable clearance has been obtained and a suitable site induction has been completed.
