A Request for the Provision of Fire Risk Assessment Services across Peterborough City Council Premises

Notice Description

Peterborough City Council wishes to appoint a suitably experienced and qualified Supplier, for a period of 36 months commencing April 2020, to fulfil the role of the 'Competent Person' in the production of Fire Risk Assessments (FRA). This includes the following: a) Complete a FRA for each premises. b) Undertake interim FRA as and when/if building changes have been made c) Establish a three year cycle to undertaking the FRA in line with the attached 'Premise List'. d) FRA must be completed within the agreed timescale. e) Cover various types of premises ranging from offices, schools, blocks of flats, leisure facilities, libraries, pavilions, community centres. f) Provide an Action Plan (AP) of recommendations identified within the FRA. The FRA is required to systematically evaluate the factors that determine a possible hazard from fire within the premises and to assist with the protection from fire. It may also include the assessment of the property issues and to some extent, how to retain business continuity i.e. advising on the potential threats to the business due to outcomes of the assessment and how to mitigate risks to ensure business as usual if a site were to be affected by fire.
